Establishing a global advisory firm as a thought leader in government

The situation

We partnered with Consulum to embed editorial strategy into its growth journey — helping the firm articulate its thinking, publish with purpose and build a trusted voice in global government advisory. 

Consulum is a strategic advisory firm that works with governments and public-sector leaders worldwide. As the firm expanded, it saw the need to share its thinking more consistently — both to reach new markets and to attract top talent. We became Consulum’s editorial partner, helping to define its voice, shape ideas and build a long-term thought leadership programme.

Our role

COP28 presented a critical platform for Absa to signal its leadership on climate and finance in Africa. The bank aimed to host a series of meaningful conversations in the lead-up to, and during, the summit — but needed support in shaping the content, designing a consistent communications approach, and ensuring smooth delivery across formats and events.

The solution

We worked closely with Consulum to embed a consistent editorial process across the business. This included content workshops, voice development and an internal guide for thought leadership. We supported the firm in publishing more than a dozen articles on topics including diplomacy, economic strategy, and innovation in government communications. Alongside editorial, we contributed research, analysis and data visualisation, and helped structure Consulum’s proprietary frameworks into clear, accessible formats. 

Our impact

The convenings helped position Absa as a proactive voice in Africa’s climate finance conversation. The supporting editorial and design work reinforced its credibility and values across channels — from formal reports to stakeholder communications. The feedback from Absa was overwhelmingly positive, with specific praise for clarity of messaging, quality of execution and alignment with brand and strategy.
