Mapping Europe’s tech talent for a leading venture capital firm

We partnered with a leading venture capital firm to build a data-driven platform that maps Europe’s tech talent, combining robust research with storytelling and design to shape a unique industry resource. 

The client wanted to better understand Europe’s tech talent landscape in a post-pandemic context. We analysed millions of tech roles and datasets across Europe, combining this with expert interviews and surveys to create a definitive guide to the continent’s workforce dynamics. The result was a rich interactive platform and accompanying report, designed to inform investment decisions and attract start-up founders. 

Tech talent is a defining factor for Europe’s start-up ecosystem, but data on its scale and distribution is often fragmented. The client saw an opportunity to build a trusted, authoritative resource—one that would not only inform their own strategy but also provide valuable insights for founders and industry leaders. They needed a partner with end-to-end expertise in research, analytics, content creation and digital design. 

We conducted a comprehensive research programme, combining: 

• Quantitative analysis of LinkedIn datasets covering millions of tech roles across Europe. 
• Two targeted surveys with founders and recruiters to surface on-the-ground trends. 
• Thirty expert interviews to add qualitative depth and actionable insights. 

We synthesised the findings into a 100-page report and designed a custom-built, interactive website. This digital hub blended data visualisation, narrative and design, offering a clear, accessible view of Europe’s tech talent landscape.
